Environment description: Ditch. Low area at edge of small copse of Platanus occidentalis. One quarter shade. 20 degree slope with northern exposure. Highly organic soil.
Associated species: Asimina triloba, Campsis radicans, Cercis canadensis, Juglans nigra, Platanus occidentalis, and Rosa multiflora.

Narrative
Multi-stemmed shrub, rounded to upright. 3 meters in height. Bark: squarish stems, light green with brown mottling. Leaves: green with slight hints of purple on full sun leaves. Fruit: creamy green capsule with faint pink dots/splotches, not open, but nearly, with bright orange seeds inside.
