Environment description: Collection site is a stony slope.

Associated species: Chondrilla juncea, Acroptilon repens, Elytrigia trichophora, Clematis orientalis, Cerasus tianschanica
Comment: Seed collected from 100 plants in a population of approximately 300 plants found in a 1000 sq meter area. Lactuca plants were rare and irregularly distributed at this site. Plants were biennial, up to 0.5m high, glabrous. Stems branched, glabrous or pubescent. Leaves lanceolate, pinnate-acute-lobate, soft, green. Inflorescence corymb paniculate. Capitula 12-15mm long. Flowers yellow. Plants well developed with many mature seeds.
