Environment description: Collection site is a stony slope.

Associated species: Acroptilon repens, Bromus danthonia, arabidopsis pumils, Elytrigia trcophora, Cousinia microcarpa
Comment: Seed collected from 50 plants in a population of approximately 50 plants found in an 800 sq meter area. Lactuca plants were rare and irregularly distributed at this site. Plants were biennial, up to 0.5m high, slightly pubescent or glabrous. Stems whitish, glabrous or pubescent, usually branched from the base. Leaves pinnate-acute-lobate, hard, whitish green with "c" appendages going down along the stem. Inflorescence spiked. Capitula 10-15mm long. Flowers yellow. Plants well developed, in fruiting stage.
