Environment description: Collection site is a stony slope nearby an agricultural field. Population probably weedy.
Number of plants sampled: 50
Associated species: Cirsium arvense, Acroptlon repens, Cardaria repens, Cynodon dactylon
Comment: Seed collected from 50 plants in a population of approximately 150 plants found in a 500 sq meter area. Lactuca plants were frequent and irregularly distributed at this site. Plants were biennial, up to 1.5m high, glabrous. Stems in inflorescence branched, pubescent. Leaves lanceolate, pinnate-acute-lobate, soft green. Inflorescence paniculate. Capitula 15mm long. flowers yellow. Plants in the mid-fruiting stage. Most seeds are not developed.
