Environment description: Collected in a flat valley in a wet place.
Number of plants sampled: 30
Associated species: Codonopsis clematidea, Veronica beccabunga
Comment: Seed collected from 30 plants in a population of approximately 80 plants found in a 200 sq meter area. Lactuca plants were rare and irregularly distributed at this site. Plants were biennial, up to 1.5m high, glabrous. Stems branched from the base. Leaves lanceolate, pinnate-acute-lobate, soft, green. Inflorescence corymb paniculate. Capitula 8-10mm long, after anthesis elongated. Flowers yellow. Plants at the end of fruiting.
