Environment description: Along sandy berms in the river delta.
Comment: Santa Rosa County These are obviously seed from a salmon colored version of that yellow-and-pink tetraploid swarm of azaleas ("austrinums") on the Escambia River. In selecting these seed, I was just interested to see whether a half-and-half pink and yellow plant would throw 50 percent yellows and 50 percent pinks. I see no tendency for yellow or pink to separate by edpahic preferences. The whole bunch is likely to be salt tolerant since the root crowns are often submerged, and barnacles grow on driftwood in the water;
