Narrative
Thorny seedlings were observed in a row of genetically 'Thornless Loganberry'. The 'Thornless Loganberry' plants were obtained from a nursery about 12 years ago. We suspect that seedlings of these plants were dropped by birds and have the thorny trait - rather than the thornless trait. Plant and fruit of the thorny seedlings look like the 'Thornless Loganberry' .
