Environment description: Roadside, at edge of harwood forest in part shade, near concrete drainage line; Toxicodendron radicans, Campsis radicans, Ulmus spp., Acer rubrum

Comment: Species common along the roadside in this area. These were the largest, most robust Phlox pilosa we found on the trip. Soil in this area heavy clay. Cuttings collected from 6 plants.
