Narrative
The original population that have Tohum Islah name is Turkish name and unknown origin planted in 1961. Sixty two plants were selected from old stand of crested wheatgrass based on phenotypic characteristics in 1996. Clones were planted and examined during 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2001, and selected 13 superior lines at the end of the fourth year.
