Environment description: Rich mesophytic and floodplain forest; Equisetum hyemale, Polemonium reptans, Phlox paniculata, Cypripedium parviflorum var. pubescens, Trillium sessile, Trillium recurvatum, Podophyllum peltatum.
Comment: A mixture of var. divaricata and var. laphamii in this population. Number of plants found >5000.

Narrative
Upright, mounded perennial to 0.15 m tall; flowers extremely variable, ranging from lavender-purple to pink-lavender to white; leaves ovate-elliptical, glabrous to pubescent. A mixture of var. divaricata and var. laphamii in this popualtion.
