Description:
Klamath Mountains Germplasm is the result of geographic selection and open crossing of five populations for one generation for the limited purpose of enhancing genetic diversity over single wild populations. While two lesser performing populations were excluded, this germplasm is not anticipated to have substantial genetic improvement or hybrid vigor in terms of ease of establishment, reproductive capability, and plant growth over other naturally occurring, fit populations of Roemer's fescue found within the same ecoregion.
