Narrative
Henderson is a mid-maturity group VllI determinate cultivar with white flowers, tawny pubescence and tan pod walls. It has yellow seed with brown hila and dull luster seed coats. Plant height ranges from 89 to 97 cm, somewhat shorter than most maturity group VllI cultivars. Henderson is high in oil content, ranging from 232 g kg" to 208 g kg'l Protein content ranges from 372 g kg" to 395 g kg'l Seed quality and seed size are well within acceptable ranges for commodity soybean.

Henderson originated from the croSS between NC-Raleigh and elite breeding line 092-1110. 092-1110 was a selection from 'Bryan' x maturity group VII 'Coker 6727'. Coker 6727, a proprietary cultivar developed by the Coker's Pedigreed Seed Company, Hartsville, SC, was selected from a population developed from the cross {Braxton x [Centennial x (Hampton 266A x Pickett 71ll).
