Narrative
This is an isolate of Citrus variegation virus (Ilarvirus citrus variegation virus) brought back from the University of Florida Citrus Research and Education Center, Lake Alfred, FL by the donor. To this point, the inventory item maintained at NCGRCD (RIV 5052 PL) has never shown a positive reaction in sour orange and the donor has stated that he does not think that it is positive. The donor has stated that he will bring back another source of inoculum next time he is in Florida. (RR Krueger, 05/18/2012)

This supposed positive never produced a reaction in indicator, so proably the pathogen never established in the host. RF Lee OK'ed inactivation on this date. (RR Krueger, 1/29/2014)
