Narrative
This is an isolate of Citrus infectious variegation virus (
Ilarvirus citrus variegation virus
) obtained from
CCPP
. According to
Chet Roistacher
, this isolate was "Received from Dr. Wallace - one plant of Eureka Le., a seedling inoculated by sap inoculation. Original source is Glendora strain brought in by Thomason to Dr Fawcett about 1939, and kept in the greenhouse. Excellent symptoms in citron. The inoculated Val/Troy shows poor response in Valencia. Lemon is a good holding source as well as citron (or sour orange). Exoc neg #210, #555, #551". The isolate was "potted to a large can and broght to Rubidoux 6/14/63". (RR Krueger, 05/18/2012)
