Narrative
This is an isolate of Citrus infectious variegation virus (Ilarvirus citrus variegation virus) obtained from CCPP. According to Chet Roistacher, this isolate was "Collected 5/16/62, from Wallace seed transmitted source - a lemon (Drake found pin point spotting on a runt seedling 1 out of 982 seedlings - planted 11/7/52). Collection about 3 progeny from original. first transfer 10/5/53 to a greenhouse SwO by bud inoc. Our source is a direct inoc from this sweet orange source 158-100. Ps 158 refers to Wallaces' book 158. 81A?65 Exp no 81A? plant No 65. Buds originally from a Eureka lemon in Davey grove collected by Fawcett. Exocortis status: neg #210, #551."
