Environment description: mesic, mixed deciduous/coniferous forest; valley; cool ravine/gorge, 60 degrees, S, thin soil over boulders
Comment: Shrub, height less than 1 meter; low-growing and scandent. Bark silvery-gray. Leaves ovate; 0.75 centimeters wide by 1 centimeter long; deep red fall color. Fruits 0.5 centimeters in diameter.
