Environment description: Growing on north-facing slope.
Associated species: Tsuga sieboldii [possibly Tsuga ulleungensis?]; Tilia sp.; Alnus maximowiczii; Styrax obassia.
Comment: Multi-stemmed shrubs growing 1-1.3 m tall. Leaves shiny green, attractive. No herbarium specimen collected.
