Locality: Ganghwa-gun, Hwado-myeon: Gangwhado (island): Sagi-ri village. [Originally listed as Kyong Gi Do, Kanghwa Gun, Hwado Myon, Sagiri village.]
Habitat: Wild Habitat
Environment description: Occasional individuals in understory of mixed deciduous forest along a mountain stream.
Comment: Small, single-trunked trees with spreading branches and exfoliating bark. Voucher tree 5 m tall. Fruit, known as "mountain strawberry", is collected by local people for food. Herb. spec. 2663.
