Environment description: mixed deciduous forest; oak dominated; dry mesic; growing in association with Viburnum schensianum, Quercus dentata, Quercus aliena, Quercus baroniiCotinus coggygria, Rhus chinensis, Forsythia suspensa, Carpinus turczaninovii, Sophora flavescens., 30? slope, E, rocky thin soils
Comment: Tree: single trunk, up to 12m in height D.B.H.=15cm. Bark-deeply furrowed,brown. Leaves-oval-elongate-lanceolate; bristle tipped along entire length; silver-gray (glaucous) undersides to leaves (compared to NACPEC02-067). Fruit-fringed cupule covering approximately one-half of acorn, acorns round2cm in diameter; collected from one tree., Seed was collected with four herbarium samples.(WILD) PHOTOGRAPHED
