Locality: Collected on crest of Ester Dome ca 11.5 km WNW from Fairbanks, Alaska.

Habitat: Wild Habitat
Environment description: Empetrum nigrum was very abundant on the site, particularly under the edges of tree stand canopies and on the moss-covered slopes. Berry size was small to average for the species. Vaccinium uliginosum and V. vitis-idaea were abundant on site. Forest canopy consisted of Picea, Betula, and Salix.
Comment: Collected from the wild near Fairbanks, Alaska Collected from a 50 m radius throughout the site.
