Locality: Shamakhi District (Rayon): near Shamakhi/Shemakha (Samaxi).
Habitat: Wild Habitat
Environment description: Dry hillside near highway covered in somewhat dwarfed trees, shrubs, and dryland herbaceous perennials, dominated by scrub oaks - might term this an "oak savanna". Growing in rocky clay. Slope: 30 degrees.
Comment: Small tree (probably due to dry conditions) approximately 12 feet tall and wide; acorns extremely long even for this species, up to 3.5 inches, in clusters.
