PR06S0-31 is a llluitiple disease resistant dry bean germplasm line adapted to the hUlllid tropics that was developed and released cooperatively by the University of Puerto Rico (UPR) Agricultural Experiment Station, the United States Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Research Service and the Escuela Agricola Panamericana in Honduras. PR06S0-31 has resistance to Bean Common Mosaic Virus, web blight and common bacterial blight and likely has resistance to endemic races of rust caused by Uromyccs oppcndic1l1o/lls (Pers.) Unger. PR06S0-31 should be a useful parent to enhance the disease resistance and broaden the genetic base of black beans.
