Originally received as open pollinated seed RSD 2009006. This probably does not differ much from other sweet limes in the collection but was obtained in order to get a "latin american" or "Mexican" version. The limas are more or less round, about 5 - 6 com in diameter, nipple small or absent, yellow skinned at maturity, flesh yellow, average about 10 seeds per fruit. Verified in hotel room as being a true sweet lime. (RR Krueger, 02/13/2009) SSR markers revealed that all 15 seedlings were identical (and apparently identical to Palestine sweet lime, PI 539283/RCRC 1482). Two seedlings (RSD2009006SG1 and RSD2009006SG3) were retained for the time being. When fully established, one will be retained and renumbered as the "type". (RR Krueger, 08/31/2009)
A nucellar selection of RSD 2009006 was made and retained as RRUT 488. RSD 2009006 was inactivated. (RR Krueger, 05/24/2011)
