Narrative
Of 20 seeds collected, 10 germinated and 1 was retained as
RRUT 91
. The remainder of the seedlings were dicarded and this accession was inactivated. Given that Rio Farms is a former USDA collection, this might be C-66-2 (Indio)/USDA-66-44/IF-66-75. Origin apparently Szechuan, China, via J Hearn, via Chapot, via Childs. AKA 'kin tch'eng', 'e tan kan' (='goose egg kan'). Midseason, few seeds. Information from Indio Accession Book.
