Environment description: Ravine with relatively narrow but deep and fast flowing river through it. Many large to huge boulders along river's edge. Rock appears to be a mafic type. Within boulders mostly devoid of vegetation except in places where there are tangles of poison ivy. The Andropogon found its affinity in their cracks. Growing in association are Toxicodendron radicans, Allium cernuum, Doellingeria umbellata, Helenium autumnale.
