Locality: Cameron County. Along Bennett Branch, along River Road which runs through Castle Garden paralleling Route 555.
Coordinates: 41.3256, -78.1467 (Map it)
Environment description: A herbaceous dominated riverbank. Extensive cobble margin to the creek which is a devoid of vegetation. Away from the creek a strip of dense herbaceous vegetation and a few woody plants where the Andropogon gerardii occurs. Also growing in association are Salix eriocephala, Euthania fistulasm, Apocynum cannabinum.
Comment: The Andropogon gerardii is native though this is a small population in scattered patches. GAZETTEER: P. 47, B6
