Narrative
ORUS 4109-1 was selected for its very strong resistance, in greenhouse tests, to the North American large raspberry aphid (Amphorophora agathonica Hottes). Aphid resistance segregates 1:1 with susceptibility in progeny of ORUS 4109-1, suggesting that this resistance is controlled by a single dominant gene. - Michael Dossett 12/14/2009
