Narrative
A complete hexaploid facultative-intermediate triticale genotype. Medium (85-125 cm), medium maturity triticale (135-150 d). Medium, fully awned, brown, dense and medium upright spikes. Kermels are medium dark in color with good animal feeding quality. Was evaluated in advanced forage yield trials under 15 environments of northern Mexico from 1996-2001. In average of environments, yielded 4.792, 4.496 and 9.288 kg/ha in the first, second cut and accumulated, respectively (15.9, 0.4 and 7.8% more dry forage than AN-31 winter triticale). Average crude protein content (CP) was 21.5 and 19.6% at the first and second cut, respectively. Registered in vitro dry matter digestiability (IVDMD) of 69.7 and 67.9 at first and second cut, respectively. At present is used in northern and central States of Mexico mainly for green fodder, hay and silage for dairy cattle and yearling steers and heifers.
