Narrative

ORUS 3778-1 was selected for its very strong resistance, in greenhouse tests, to the North American large raspberry aphid (Amphorophora agathonica Hottes). Crosses with ORUS 3778-1 suggest that it is homozygous for this trait, negating the need to screen F1 progeny of this parent for aphid resistance.
