Environment description: Along open road edge in gravel, somewhat shady, dry dusty gravel. Colonies of strawberries found near edges of woods in shadier part but sometimes venturing out into the open field.
Comment: Terminal tooth of middle leaflet was inset between adjacent serrations; leaf cuneate. Leaf felt waxy to the touch - similar to the feel of F. chiloensis at the coast - but not as dark green. Color was more glaucous than dark chiloensis.
