Very prevalent smallish pine with short needles.; SUB-COUNTRY GEO 2: Jeff Davis County; GEOGRAPHIC AREA: Davis Mountains; COLLECTOR'S NUMBER: 1242; MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION ABOUT WILD COLLECTION: Abundant. 200 plants sampled from a population of 5000+, sampled over an area of 15 acres. Five herbarium specimens collected. Digital photograph taken. Other pines in the area have noticeably longer needles. 60 percent of seeds found empty.;
