A form with very large fruits. For previous introduction [of the species] see 111427."
In the introductory statement to Inventory No. 124, B. Y. Morrison wrote, "From Auckland, New Zealand, H. R. Wright sent in to the Department plants of 13 fruit varieties, including new local forms of peach, apple, pear, oriental persimmon, and mandarin orange (Nos. 112053-112065). These, of course, are destined for trial in the Southern States and the Pacific coast, where some of Mr. Wright's earlier introductions have already become successfully established."
