Environment description: Arroyo. Land used as recreation natural area. Soil is very gravelly sand loam; color 10YR 4/3 brown.

Comment: Collectors: Howard M., Newman D., Macias T. Shrub, height 2 to 6 ft. Flower color white, 5 petals, calyx 5-lobed, stamens many, perfect. Fruit achene. Plant woody, bark of plant branches whitish, exfoliating. Leaves simple, alternate, fascicled, pinnately divided.
