Environment description: Relatively natural/undisturbed, first grade above flood plain. Reasonably well protected, direct sunlight probably only a couple of hours per day.
Associated species: Cornus drummondii; Juniperus virginiana; Juglans nigra; Celtis occidentalis; Maclura pomifera.
Comment: "There was a moderate population of plants at this location. Approximately 8-10 plants climbing among the associated flora. There appears to have been a good fruit set and harvesting was done along the roadside. Plants were reasonably well protected by the surrounding plant material and probably only received a couple hours of direct sunlight each day. I would describe the site as relatively natural and undisturbed and the first grade above the flood plain."
