Locality: Along north side of Cheat River, about 1.5 - 2 miles west of hydroelectric dam, Fayette County.

Environment description: River bank with large bourders and smaller cobbles along the margin and a narrow herbaceous dominated strip of land heading upslope from the river. South exposure with 2% slope. Silty loam or sandy loam over cobbles
Number of plants sampled: 30
Comment: Growing in association are Andropogon gerardi, Toxico denderon, radicans, Cobelia cardin. Panicum virgatum is clearly native; they are scattered unevenly over a relatively small area.
