Environment description: Bottomland/creek bed. Narrow creek approximately 10 feet wide and 1-2 feet deep. Specimens restricted to close proximity of creek. Fairly dense forest canopy. 0-5% slope.
Number of plants sampled: 6
Associated species: Acer saccharum, Celtis occidentalis, Gleditsia tricanthos, Juglans nigra, Juniperus virginiana, Symphoricarpos orbiculatus, Toxicodendron radicans, and Vitis riparia.
Comment: Latitude, longitude, and elevation averaged between all specimens sampled. Coordinates for each mother tree may be provided upon request. Rare population abundance. Population of 50 in 3799 square meter site. Balanced/seed sampling method used. Majority of specimens were juvenile. Only nine females found.
