Narrative
Chaparral Germplasm hairy grama provides fair to good forage value and is adaptable to sandy and other coarse textured soils. Potential uses include rangeland seeding, soil stabilization, wildlife habitat restoration, highway right-of-way seeding, and oil and gas revegetation projects. The low-growing dense bunchgrass grows 1 to 2 1/2 feet tall. Plants produce multiple seed heads and will flower and produce seed throughout the year.
