Environment description: North-running stream valley; mesic, mixed deciduous forest; stream edge at a local hotel. 15 degree slope with a western aspect. Rocky soil.

Narrative
Tree; single trunk; rounded crown; 8 meters in height; 20 cm DBH. Smooth, light brown bark. Opposite leaves, pinnately compound, approximately 20 cm long, 5 (7) leaflets, midveins of leaflets pubescent. Buds with light brown pubescence on twigs. Fruit: terminal panicles, 3-3.5 cm long.
