Environment description: Waters off of the Cape are popular with scuba divers and tourist and rocky shore line has been degraded by campers and vehicle traffic. Dirt tracks crisscross the Cape. Away from the shore and dirt tracks, native vegetation was apparent, seasonal grazing was evident (Collector Notes); Associated Species: shrub steppe consisting of thyme, germander (Teucrium), Crimean skullcap (Scutellaria taurica), cliff lucerne (Medicago rupestris), various feather grasses and fescue grasses. For Medicago, only M. minima and M. praecox observed at this site; Land Element: plain level; Aspect: unknown; Exposure: open; Slope: 0-5%; Soil pH: unknown; Soil Moisture: seasonally dry; Soil Texture: coarse sand
