Narrative
A annual that grows on the coast and up to 800 m. about sea level in various parts of Asia. It has squarish leaflets and yellow flowers about one-third of an inch long, in few-flowered clusters or solitary, and hairy coiled pods (PI Vol. 150). Previously considered lost, this older Plant Introduction was rediscovered when the Beltsville Medicago Species Collection was donated to the USDA National Plant Germplasm System in 2007 (S.L. Greene, Curator, 2008).
