A prostrate plant of open dry places (Collector Notes). Previously considered lost, this older Plant Introduction was rediscovered when the Beltsville Medicago Species Collection was donated to the USDA National Plant Germplasm System in 2007 (S.L.Greene, Curator, 2008 ).
