Locality: Along Ioway Creek (formerly known as Squaw Creek), SE 1/4 of SE 1/4 of Section 33 and SW 1/4 of SW 1/4 of Section 34, T84N, R24W, Ames, Ames West Quad.

Habitat: Wild Habitat
Environment description: Native specimens throughout floodplain forest on both sides of creek and on the Iowa State University Disc Golf Course (ISU land).
Number of plants sampled: 15
Associated species: Acer negundo, A. saccharinum, Celtis, Gleditsia triacanthos, Rhamnus cathartica, and Smilax.
Comment: Some variation in seed maturation at time of collection, but most seeds were brown and most leaves had recently dropped. No noticeable fall leaf color.
