Locality: Perimeter and adjacent areas of Honey Creek Golf Course, Boone, N 1/2 of Section 8, Boone West Quad, Boone County.

Environment description: Majority collected from higher elevations, but also lower valleys. Course constructed by clearing existing trees; all collections from native specimens; no trees have been planted on course.
Number of plants sampled: 16
Associated species: Acer saccharum subsp. nigrum, Carya, Quercus alba, Q. rubra, Robinia pseudoacacia, and Ulmus (one specimen of Fraxinus nigra noted along banks of Honey Creek).
Comment: ~50 trees within a 1/4 square mile area. Permission to collect received from course superintendent. Large variation in seed maturation; some seed still fairly green while others were brown and shattering readily.
