Narrative
Erect to semi-erect, evergreen shrub, 3-6 feet high and about 3-5 feet wide. Bark is smooth and reddish brown on older stems and branches. Pinkish flowers are in dense corymbose panicles and bloom in May-June. Seed is dark brown to black in 2-3 divided nutlets.
