Locality: About 3 miles southwest of Port Hadlock, Jefferson County, Gibbs Lake Road, above Gibbs Lake at about 700 foot elevation.

Environment description: Soggy perched water table though plant not quite submerged. Growing by the logging road in a draw. Forest canopy was second growth alder with a few Cedar trees. Poorly drained soils.
Comment: Orange fruit. It was truly one of the better flavored Salmon berries I've tasted and large fruit. It was a remarkable specimen though, clearly twice as tall as any of its neighbor Salmon berry plants, about 10 feet plus.
