Locality: Distribution - known only from small area near Al Mukalla in Hadramaut Region of southern Yemen.
Environment description: Grows in sparse vegetation on limestone rocks at 50-1250 m. Cucumis prophetarum and Corallocarpus glomeruliflorus also occur in the area.
Comment: Most conspicuous feature - C. canoxyi lacks tendrils. Has rounded, entire (not lobed), leaves; female flowers often paired. Species found during botanical survey of Masila oil field and pipeline route for CanadianOxy Offshore Intnl. Ltd.
