Locality: Two miles west of Clayton, Rabun County, along both sides of the road (US-76). Sandstone outcrop on other side of road.

Environment description: Steep slope, sandstone outcrop near by, growing in sandy red clay with a layer of organic duff. Associated Plants: Platinus lanceolata, Malus, Eupatorium, Rhus toxidendron, Robinia pseudoacasia, Rubus phoenicolasius and Lonicera.
Comment: Virus present, ease of separation is not as good as other samples, 50% of fruit not ripe yet, moderate to high gloss. Plants 2 m tall.
