Locality: These plants are found for approximately 1/4 mile along U.S. 82, but only on the south side. They are on a electric utility right-of-way, about 2 miles west of Willacoochee, Atkinson county. Between river on the south and the road.

Environment description: The soil is very sandy on the east side of the very narrow Alapaha River.
Comment: There are Asimina longifolia all around and these two species have interbreed and it is hard to find true species of either species. These have been nearly wiped-out with generic Round-Up (herbicide).
