  • Accession Data Were Added: A taxonomic expert Nuri Benet Pierce doubts the determination as C. neomexicanum, and prefers C. berlandieri. 03 May 2018.
  • Observation Data Added: The leaf blades have fewer teeth than is typical of C. berlandieri. Also many of the styles are long-exerted indicating poor male fertility, and a potential for easy cross-pollination. It is closest to var. zschackei, but lacks yellow style bases, so is not identified to variety. Observed on greenhouse row 1307 November 2018, David M. Brenner. 21 Nov 2018.
