Narrative
Orange flower, pods several coils, loosely coiled, spines going out from outside edge; 2N=14 (Beltsville, MD; unknown source and date). Previously considered lost, this older Plant Introduction was rediscovered when the Beltsville Medicago Species Collection was donated to the USDA National Plant Germplasm System in 2007 (S.L.Greene, Curator, 2008 ).
